Md. Jahangir Alam
From the cultural stage to television screens, and from artistic pursuits to entrepreneurship, Md. Jahangir Alam’s journey reflects a life shaped by creativity, dedication, and continuous involvement in different fields.
Born in Bancharampur, Brahmanbaria District, Bangladesh, he began his cultural journey in the 1990s and gradually became involved in theatre, television, cultural activities, and business.
Md. Jahangir Alam’s professional and personal journey has developed through several different chapters. His involvement in Bangladesh’s cultural arena began in 1996, when he started working with Dhaka Little Theatre.
A Journey Across Different Paths

Over the years, his interest in performance and cultural activities led him to theatre groups, cultural organizations, Bangladesh Television, and private television productions.
Alongside his artistic career, he also entered the business sector. In 2011, he founded Arunima Properties Limited and became involved in a large-scale land development project in Kuakata.
These different experiences together form a career that combines entrepreneurship with a long-standing connection to acting and culture.
The Cultural Beginning
Where the Journey Started
Md. Jahangir Alam began his journey in the cultural arena in 1996 with Dhaka Little Theatre.
Theatre became one of the earliest foundations of his artistic life and introduced him to the discipline, collaboration, and creative environment of stage performance.
In 1999, he joined Dhaka Padatik, continuing his connection with theatre and Bangladesh’s cultural community.
During the same period, he also participated in cultural activities as a member and activist of the Sammilita Sangskritik Jote, also known as the Combined Cultural Alliance.
His involvement in these organizations created an important bridge between his early stage experience and his later work in television.
A New Chapter on Bangladesh Television
After developing his experience through theatre and cultural activities, Md. Jahangir Alam expanded his acting journey into television.
He became known to television audiences through appearances in drama segments of “Ujjiban,” a monthly Islamic program broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV).
This experience became an important chapter in his acting career.
In 2000, he began working as a regular artist with Bangladesh Television, further strengthening his connection with television performance and bringing his work to a wider audience.

Television Performances
Md. Jahangir Alam has also performed in a number of television dramas broadcast on private television channels.
Beyond individual dramas, he has appeared in television serials as well, including the notable series Hatkhola.
These performances represent another important part of his continuing involvement in Bangladesh’s television and entertainment industry.

In 2011, he founded Arunima Properties Limited.
